Summer Sunset Event At The Exchange Lofts

Good morning all, last night was truly an exceptional event at The Exchange Lofts in beautiful downtown Fort Lauderdale. The event was hosted by FtLaudi-Gras.com and Sinfully Celestial Creations, some of the more notable attendees were local on air personality Tamara G. and nationally syndicated talk show host Michael Baisden. The Exchange Lofts provided the perfect
atmosphere for an event of this caliber. The pool-side views of the city from the rooftop were a major attraction and the desserts that were provided by Sinfully Celestial Creations were a perfect fit to a perfect night, we look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Summer Sunet Mingler At Christine's

A lovely evening was had by all at the Summer Sunset Mingler at Christine's. This was a networking event that showcased some of south florida's finest business professionals. It was co-sponsored by FtLaudi-Gras.com and the Ft. lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, if you're looking for a great way to get the word out about an event or your business I'd take a serious look attending the next event.

G.E.D The Movie

Today i had the chance to watch the filming of the new movie G.E.D with Jackee Harry and Faizon Love whom most of you will remember from the t.v. show 227 and the movie Friday respectively.The movie is being shot in and around Ft.Lauderdale and the Broward county area, but on this day it was just off the Sistrunk corridor and 24th avenue. I'm sure most of you will be pleased to know that the director is a local and his name is Cess Salvera so please don't forget to
show some support when it hits the theatres.

Tuesday Night At Mango's

I decided to take a ride over to Mango's on Las Olas, and as it turns out that proved to be a great idea. The house band was in rare form and the food was excellent. There's nothing like expriencing a tropical South Florida night at the end of a long day. The only problem I had was that I knew that i would'nt be able to take advantage of all the happenings going on along the corridor. Give it a shot i know you'll enjoy it!!!

University of Florida Alumni Basketball Game

This will definetly be one of the more memorable events this weekend. South Florida turned out in large numbers once again to show support for one of our major universities. This basketball/charity event brought out the likes of N.B.A players Udonis Haslem, Joakim Noah and Taurean Green as well as a host of old Florida greats such as Teddy Dupay and Major Parker. The rafters of the Florida Atlantic University Gym were rocking with the cheers and applause of hundreds of families as the game proved to be truly an event for all ages.

Old Dillard Museum Visit

Today was one of those days when i felt a little nostalgic so i took a trip to the Old Dillard Museum. It's located at 1009 NW 4th Street here in Fort Lauderdale. While there i picked a copy of My Soul Is A Witness by Deborah Work, it's a book about the history of Fort Lauderdale's African American community. The museum is truly a walk through time and another of the many reasons i love this city so much.

FtLaudi-Gras Event At Chima's

For those of you who were fortunate enough to attend the Chima event i'm sure you'll agree it was truly a night to remember. Although there were some weather concerns initially the event went off without a hitch. For our visiting friends i'm glad you had the chance to experience true

Tuesday Night At The Grape Merchant

Tonight was another exceptional night to be out on the town in and around this great city
of ours.This particular night was spent at the Grape Merchant with a long list of very special
friends. The music and wine as usual were the best, and the ladies were as they always are!

Days in the sun

As i drove down Fort Lauderdale's beautiful A1A i'm reminded just how lucky i am to live here.
I must admit living here does sometimes cause one to take life for granted, you just naturally
assume that everyone is seeing what we're seeing daily. If you're given the opportunity to come
on down trust me on this one you would'nt regret it.

Ftlaudi Gras Las olas event

There will be a huge event on June 18th at Chima's restaurant. This event will be bringing out
the best and brightest of Fort Lauderdale. For those who don't know Chima's it's located on Las
Olas Blvd. If you're near come on by. If you're visiting you've got to check out the Hard Rock Cafe this week you won't believe the women.
